Love More. Yell Less.

Becoming a Calm, Cool and Connected Parent: Small Group Coaching

I see it everyday.
Parents come to me feeling at the end of their rope. Worried that there’s something wrong with their child. Worried that they are not doing a good job as a parent and even possibly messing up their children. They are scared and feeling, at times, hopeless. They can see how they don’t want to parent but they are at a loss for how to steer the ship in a new direction.

And then we get to work.
We meet. They share what’s going on. They learn about human development, emotional regulation, what’s really going on when their kids are freaking out. They start to explore why they are getting triggered by certain behaviors. They begin to re-think how they are caring for themselves. They learn how to set clear and kind boundaries. They begin to determine where they want to go as individuals, parents and as a family.

And it all starts to change.
They start to feel more balanced. They begin to delight in their child again. They gain confidence which leads to more appreciation, more playfulness, more ease, more joy, more compassion. And that all leads to more connection. And with more connection comes different behaviors and more joy and more love.

It’s astounding.
The changes can happen quickly. It’s as if a few course corrections take place that shifts the whole trajectory.

And the changes last.
Parents move out of just barely surviving to actively thriving. They begin to love more and yell less.
And it’s beautiful.
