Three Questions from 5 year old Maeva
Oh lucky me, not only do I get to meet with curious big humans, dedicated to growing as parents and partners and people, but I also get to hear from little humans who share in this path of inquiry.
Maeva’s mom was getting ready to attend my Fostering Healthy Sibling Relationships class a few weeks ago. Her daughter asked where she was going and she said, “I’m going to learn how to help you and your sister get along better.” Maeva liked this and asked her mom if she could ask me some questions, too. She wrote down these three questions:
1. How can you work it out when you get really upset?
2. How can you be really kind when someone is being mean to you?
3. How do you be nice when you are out of practice of being nice and you want to bite and pinch and kick and say mean words?
Great questions, right?!
I chose a video response, and you can check it out here. Enjoy!
Your childrens’ – and their adults’ – questions delight me to no end. Don’t hold back, your questions fuel future classes and offerings… and maybe even a blog post. I can be reached at carrie@carriecontey.com, but also on Facebook and now, Twitter.
Until next time. Much love! Always love.
Carrie
